THE SPIRITUAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

In cooperation with the Lead Pastor, the Spiritual Oversight Committee is responsible for…

• Oversight of the theological positions affirmed by South Abbotsford Church
• Acting as an elder team in providing counsel and direction in spiritual issues
• Recommending to Council any policy additions or changes bearing on spiritual oversight

The Spiritual Oversight Committee must be:

• Members in good standing
• Examples of servant leadership
• Biblically knowledgeable
• Known for wisdom

The Spiritual Oversight Committee shall consist of one member of the Council, and seven members recommended by the Search Committee and affirmed by the congregation at the Annual General Meeting. The terms of those affirmed by the congregation will be for two years.

The Lead Pastor will act as ex-officio member of this committee.
