Primary Ministry Focus:
Al is the High School Principal and Connie teaches 4 year olds at Riverside School in Prague - an International school providing high quality education in the English language for children aged 3-18, in the context of a cross-cultural environment. Riverside has an underlying Christian ethos and educates total of 340 students representing 35 different nationalities. The vast majority of our students come from un-churched and non-Christian backgrounds - all are welcome. It is very challenging and thought-provoking environment to work and learn in.
Major Challenges:
Providing a high quality educational program while maintaining the supportive family environment that we are known for. Recruiting highly qualified Christian staff that share the vision and execute the mission of the school in a unified way. Making the most of our opportunities to share Christ's love with the families connected to Riverside.
Prayer Focus:
- For the Christian students - that they would gain an understanding of what they believe and why they believe what they do, for the grace to live out their faith, and boldness to share the Good News with their peers.
- For the students and families who have not experienced the joy of being a follower of Christ - that they would gain an understanding of God's unconditional love for them and that they would recognize the urgency of accepting God's gift of grace.
- For the Staff - that the bond we have in Christ would unite us - that we would “Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of (Christ's) love. Make every effort to keep (ourselves) united in the Spirit, binding (ourselves) together with peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3
